Sans Souci
Balcony faced the main road -noise was an issue and privacy.
The client had no garden ,the balcony was an exposed open -tiled area that required some nature and sound proofing to buffer the extreme road noise.
We designed large planter boxes to house tall slimline trees with shallow root systems.
We installed large sound proofing walls between the trees -joined together to buffer the road noise and painted them in a colour that blended with the suroundings.
The result was a lush and beautiful -quiet garden with privacy from the neighbours and a sense of being in a sanctuary.
Hair Salon
We created a beautiful salon from a room that was unused ...We used beautiful wallpaper and new tiles with a splash of paint to finsh the look.
Two bedroom apartment in Fairlight complete renovation and interior design
A 2 bedroom apartment with 2 entrys and a rear deck..there was enormous potential ...Comprising of a separate kitchen, separate dining room, large lounge room, closed off brick sun room, large main bedroom, 2nd bedroom, TINY bathroom.. no storage, no garage and a shared laundry.The best aspect of this large apartment was the interior space and the enormous light that filtered into all rooms..it was a 96 m2 floor space..loads of potential .This apartment was in a fabulous position near the harbour in a great street ...anything that improved the unit would definitely increase its value!!
The wish list: to create open plan thoughout the apartment with that New York feel,open up the sunroom to be part of the living space,an open plan kitchen with healthy storage and beautiful surfaces,a new bathroom with a seperate bath and shower,a more functional 2nd bedroom with more usuable walls,complete new ceilings throughout and repaired walls,new floating floors and light paint colours throughout.
This renovation was a complete re-structure of the internal space.There were some walls removed adjoining kitchen and dining rooms and the wall between dining and loungeroom to create an open plan living space.All walls were either repaired or gyprockd over depending on the damage and the entire ceiling was replaced..The sunroom doorway was widened and gyprocked as part of the loungeroom.. The small hallway to the bathroom given away and the bathroom wall moved out by 1 metre to create a bigger space of 2m x 3m..The bedrrom 2 doorway was moved to the LHS to create more usuable space...large ceiling to floor built in wardrobes were installed in bedrooms with new carpet ..A beautiful new custom built kitchen with attached island bench ...Luxurious inclusions were :stone benchtops and waterfall egdes,glass splash back with feature timber peices ,Cararra marble facia on island bench,The new bathroom had an open shower with a plunge bath and wall hung vanity,feature tiles in marble,downlighting throughout and light paint colours throughout..plantation shutters on the windows..It was decided to keep the laundry extenal (down a flight of stairs)and use the space well in both kitchen and bathroom.The floors were stained in dark walnut with a commercial satin finsh...The apartment was decorated elegant timeless peices ,white lounge and skins on the floor..beauitful colour accents throughout..Dual entries were appealing ,with the large newly built rear deck..
The end result: A large, house- like space -great light and open plan with soaring 3 m ceilings,the dark rich floors impact immediately ,a stunning kitchen with ample storage and all luxurios inclusions,A gorgeous bathroom with the most incredible plunge bath..great storage and space in the bedrooms,this apartment has a New York,contemporary beachy and modern style with the esssence of its 1920's era still in place..Quality was evident in all the fixtures and fittings throughout.The plunge bath is defintely the most luxurious part of the home..its fun and quirky

Designed and renovated bathroom and complete bedroom makeover..
The bedroom Wish list from our client was to create a dreamy, intimate and glamorous bedroom with modern style.
Wool carpet,hanging pendant lighting above bed and down lighting surround(a shadow box for lighting was built)gorgeous wallpaper,shimmer curtains,a an intinmate colour -porters "bellbottoms" on ceilings and walls.
The bathroom wish was to be individual and classy whilst functional and practical with all the luxurious comforts and inclusions.
We moved the entry wall out by 300mm giving more space to work with.We installed an internal slider door at entry to create space.The common stack had to remain accessable so a clever shaving cabinet was installed(removeable).We created a privacy wall to hide the view of the toilet at the entry.
3 feature tiles -including gorgeous silver travertine,internal toilet cystern and large shower.Luxurious inclusions were under floor heating and towell rail with a fabulous rain shower rail and mixer with heat setting.A large wall hung (cibo) vanity.The feature was the large round mirror..
The new bathroom now has functionality, space,luxury,comfort and style..
..The end result was a stylish new bathroom and a glamourous new bedroom.Everything the client had hoped for and more..
St Ives Bathroom
The bathroom was tired and dated with a desperate need for renovation..
The wish list was to use pre-purchased beautiful stone tiles and stone bowl..we suggested giving the bathroom a minimilist feel and look with modern contemporary finishes.We straightened the shower wall for clean lines.
We designed and created a Floating vanity for the stone bowl with open shelving and an open shower .The plumbing stayed in the same area to avoid any larger costs.We re-created a roomy stylish and minimilst bathroom ..we gave it the sense of space by installing a very long large mirror ..On the opposite side of the strainghtened wall we created an recess for the new plasma TV..for the media room..

Frenches Forest Kitchen
This home had not been updated for some 25years.The kitchen was the problem area not functional very small and dark. An extension family room off the kitchen that seemed blocked off from the rest of the home with reduced access .The home presented with great space and enormous possibilty to make the kitchen area open plan and more functional and modern combining with the family room .A note to please include the bar fridge somewhere..There was a guarenteed immediate increase in equity from the renovation.
Suggested inclusions were to remove all walls surrounding the kitchen and open up the space .Design the new kitchen space (custom design)with loads of storage and upgraded inclusions EG: Stone bench tops /Glass splash back/polyuerethene cupboards/Blum close systems/gas appliances. The design extended to all areas of the new space with a bar area and new clear glass louvre windows and an island bench .The family room was now an important part of the new space and extremely family freindly The new area had light,flow,space and functionality..The flooring was replaced througout with Laminate flooring in a light wash colour..The paint colours throughout were Dulux "Stowe white" and Dulux "Hog bristle"
End result:An open plan kitchen family room with beautiful inclusions(stone,glasss) loads of storage even the husband ended up with his own bar area,great light and space now filled this home ,the floors made everything feel as though there was never a renovation it married the front and back of the home perfectly. the laundry door wa moved from the hallway to the kitchen and the doorway into the hallway was widened to give the room a sense of space...the colours were light all the way through..
The client now had a large entertaining kitchen with loads of storage and a family freindly space..a seemless light floor easy to clean.beautiful light colours throughout...a modern upgrade to a dated home ..the clients were considering moving but now have decided to stay for longer and enjoy the new space..
Woollarha Bachelor Pad
A 2 bedroom unit in a large block of units .We had a small budget and 10 days to renovate!!
The clients wish list was for a new kitchen with an internal laundry and create an office area,upgrade the balcony,makeover/renovation of the bathroom,new paint throughout and carpet in the bedrooms.This unit needed to stand out with style in amoungst so many others for re-sale or for the client to live comfortably.
We created more function and storage for the kitchen with an office area attached to the kitchen area and a washing machine under the bench,new tiling for the balcony and a glass door with new paint,we decided complete flooring throughout in a light laminatef for durabilty-it gave the unit flow and a sense of space,we ripped out the entire bathroom and kept the plumbing same -we replaced the toilet -installed a new wall hung vanity and a storage cabinet -new tiling floor to ceiling-shower screen over the bath the bathroom is now as new and stylish.. we painted throughout ..new carpet in the bedrooms..
The end result was a stylish and functional new apartment with a sense of space and beautiful new inclusions, we decided to keep the colour palette simple but smart with a striking black tiled splash back..and hints of red in the bathroom.and a beautiful light paint colour throughout...the office area was a great new tidy space with striking laminate long bench.
This apartment now reflected all the needs of the client and the possibilty of a great re-sale advantage..we acheived the complete renovation in 10 days and came in just a little over budget with some extra necessary inclusions...
Our client was extremely satisfied and thrilled with the end result..

The bedroom presented with a heavy brick wall and a dated fell.
wish list: To create an intimate feel with a glamorous touch using exsting bed and side tables.
The brck wall was painted in a beauitful rich mushroom colour,The curtains were lifted with the addition of a flocked curtain and tassles,the lamps were replaced with mirrored lamps (light reflective)Cushions in all shapes and textures were added to the bed,an exclusive art peice was created for the bedroom by Fiona.
The client arrived home from work thrilled to see a brand new bedroom ,the feel was intimate and glamorous but a feeling of warmth filled the room due to the cosyness of the cushions,curtains,and wall colour..

The house presented with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a flow through living area. A Light filled and spacious home. Existing old pine floors under the carpet. A good size kitchen and dining area.

The client was travelling overseas, so the time frame was 3 weeks.
Wish list:The client requested a modern, contemporary, beach house look,remove all the clutter and freshen up with new furniture in all rooms,a facial makeover on the kitchen ,a desperately needed office space,new themes in bedrooms,new loungeroom furniture ,downlighting and feature lighting throughout,polished flooring throughout,new paint work throughout.
The existing floors were removed IE:vynyl and carpet-The exsiting pine floors were repaired and white washed,the entire house was painted ceilings and floors,new furniture for loungeroom and dining/office area,the existing area opposite the dining was the best space for a home/office,the adjacent area became a much needed occasional place for cups of tea and chat,the loungeroom was more open plan with a modular lounge and feature light ,new rugs throughout,the main bedroom had the ultimate beach look with soft colours-the existing bed was whitewashed,a large wall canvas was a photo of the local beach,the kitchen was improved with new stone bench tops and handles a very simple change with the most impact,the childs room was centred around his love of the local football team"manly sea eagles"a large wall mural was painted on 1 wall and the room assesorised,a black and white theme for the third bedroom,A new dining setting ,exclusive canvas art work from Fiona was made for this house ,beautiful light colour work throughout..
The client returned from overseas to a brand new home, ecstatic with the result and all finshed in record time...the childs face was the most memorable when he saw the mural of his beloved players..The client had everything she had hoped for and more .. a beautiful, modern and stylish beach house!!
Update and brighten an old fashioned internal brick wall
The brick wall was a dominating aspect in this terrace home.
The wall was rendered over with ready set render and then painted with a colour blending with the existing colours..
End result: A sense of more space as your eye was not drawn to the heavy brick wall..
It now became just another wall and the beautiful furniture was now a feature..
